Arts and culture lie at the heart of VitrA and Eczacıbaşı’s heritage and we play a significant role in developing and progressing this industry and making it accessible to all, working with everyone from professionals to students to investors to academicians.
Eczacıbaşı Group runs the Eczacıbaşı Hygiene Project with the aim of improving the physical conditions of Regional Boarding Schools (RBSs). Eczacıbaşı Building Products Group is among the founding members of the project, which was initially started in 2007 in collaboration with the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living. Within the scope of the project, which is supported by group organisations, sanitary facilities (showers and toilets) within the RBSs’ dormitory and classroom areas are being renovated with VitrA and Artema products following the Ministry of Education’s general infrastructure works. The students are also provided with personal hygiene and toilet training by Selpak, which is an Ipek Kağıt brand. In addition, Eczacıbaşı Volunteers, which is comprised of community workers, design social projects aimed at enriching the emotional worlds of students. Crowned by international awards, the Eczacıbaşı Hygiene Project brings health, hygiene, and hope to the lives of hundreds of RBS students.
Established by Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı in 1957, VitrA Ceramic Arts Studio’s mission is to sustain the art of ceramics with new works, and to gather public appreciation for this form of art. A member of International Academy of Ceramics (IAC), the Studio has been serving under the name of MSGÜ - VitrA Ceramic Arts Studio since 2011 within the framework of a protocol signed with the Division of Ceramic and Glass Design at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts (MSGSÜ) Every year, four artists (two from Turkey, and two from abroad) are allowed to use the studio as their own workshop. The works created by artists in the Studio are being displayed in the university’s galleries once a year.
VitrA, who has supported men’s and women’s volleyball teams with jersey ads for many years, went one step further by giving its name to the Eczacıbaşı VitrA Women's Volleyball Team, starting from the 2010-2011 season. This support was crowned with consecutive world championship titles won by the team. Eczacıbaşı VitrA Women’s Volleyball Team won the FIVB Clubs World Championship title in 2015 and 2016, becoming the first team to win the world champions title for two consecutive years.
